I'm positive the pieces are from my neighbor's 65 S2 Elan. The Elan was Evelyn's 25th wedding anniversary present in 1965. Evelyn and her husband were neighbors of my family growing up in SoCal. Her husband Jon was a gifted woodcarver. They didn't care for the ABS plastic pieces that turned to broken pieces in the California heat, so he made these for her car. Her son Will was one of my best friends. Evelyn repaired the fiberglass and repainted the car herself. The only service work she had done was by Frank Monise Motors in Pasadena.

When she passed, the Elan went to her grandchildren. They drove it for a while, then it was sold on in the early days of BAT. The car was eventually restored by the buyer with the replica plastic pieces.
There is no cure for Lotus, only treatment.

I was searching through BaT trying to find it so I can see how this looks installed. I’m in LA so it cuts out one hurdle or dealing with shipping...
