Looks gorgeous, shame there are only 87 photos on the link, I would have liked to see more

Need to wipe the lick marks off my screen now…….

Absolutely lovely, love the colour, not so keen on the airflow vents in the pillars though.

I assume that is Canadian $?

If it's such an early S3, why does it have a S4 boot latch handle and carpeted kick panels at the front of the door cards? It also has window switches in the dash, not in the doors as all other early pre-airflow FHC. And the vents in the B pillers are not Elan at all, but it is a pretty car.

I wonder why the seller seems to be hiding the numbers on the VIN tag.

VIN tag is 5811, not one of the earliest Coupes. Very nice car, lots spent. It has the wrong tach and speedo , no under dash trims, if total originality is your thing.

And those vents …… :(

55k Cdn ask. If it sold that quick I doubt it went for less than 50k. Pretty high number for the Canadian market. I guess we are finally catching up.

Unit No 5811, which in the Workshop Manual and in the Certificate of Provenance letter confirms this as the first S3 FHC and the first Elan to have been fully built at Hethel. The invoice date is 30 June 1966.
