Decent looking undamaged +2 on copart

PostPost by: mbell » Thu Sep 03, 2020 9:32 pm

Happened to notice:
https://www.copart.com/lot/48080700/197 ... n-mi-ionia

Looks like a complete and decent conditional car that likely just needs a light refresh to be a very usable car. Would guess it will probably go for a cheap price on co-part, so potentially good buy for someone looking for +2.

So why is at Copart? They are normally selling insurance write-offs.

Didn't see that, interesting.

Good question, co-part will sell any car just happens they mostly sell insurance write-offs. I suspect whoever is selling it just wants it gone with no more hassle. co-part is one way to do that.

That's the Market Estimate for the car, not the estimate for what it will sell for at auction. It will go for a lot less. (Likely high due to thinking it is an elan not +2)

As mentioned co-part mostly sells accident damaged vehicles so they like to highlight how much undamaged vehicles are worth to help improve the sale prices on the cars.

Yeah that gave me a laugh! I wonder who estimated that and how/why.

Not crazy about the red colour, but its body & paint are in nicer shape than mine. Definitely a project otherwise though.

I saw too at the bottom of the page in related listings an S1 Esprit that would make a fun project! Wouldn't be too difficult to either restore stock or do some interesting mods.
