Someone took a lot of trouble over the cosmetics, it's a very good looking car, I think they missed out by not giving any detail on the state and age of the chassis, suspension, driveshafts etc. To me it looks a little saggy on the front end...

There is so much not correct with this car I wouldn't know where to begin. The bloody dials aren't even right, and there are to many of them

then besides the Plus2 tacho and early speedo (probably steering wheel - also washer bag ...) that one can just swap in minutes, what is so bad with that car? must say I like the color...

I've got a Lagoon Blue fhc and to me this car doesn't look the same colour as mine.

please post some photos (I noted the shades varied for the one on auction... plus I'm not a fan of the gold bumpers, too much bling for me I'm afraid...)

Agreed, I think Lagoon Blue is a shade lighter.

Anyone up for a Sprint project at 17,950 with engine?

That was one of Vince Haydon's cars for sale, long gone I believe.

I agree, I don't see anything that needs fixing that would take a couple of hours to resolve (other than the extra Ammeter - big deal?)

Even you Leslie would have to agree that the paint & interior look very nice?

Phil. You are right. Haydon originally had this car for sale in bits. When I spoke to him about it he said there was some small damage or defect to the paint in front of the windscreen which he would correct. The car was marked as sold on his website, and reappeared later for sale fully assembled. Didn't sell so car went to Matty to see if he could sell it. He couldn't and it finished up back at Haydons. The car is definitely lagoon blue, or at least it was, when I tracked it previously. I vaguely recall it being up for circa £40K. As Lesley says, lots wrong with it but you would have to be a purist. Looking at a picture of the engine bay I reckon it has a Lotus chassis. Jim

Just to be clear Jim, you're saying the car for auction & the Pile of bits at Vince Haydon's are one & the same?

Phil. Yes that's exactly it. The original advert showed a repainted body on a trailer. I seem to recall it was sitting on a chassis without engine and gearbox etc. It was at that point I rang Vincent but basically the whole car had to be put together. After sold in that condition, reappeared for sale later on fully built up. Jim
