Fully agree with you. But there´s a but, unfortunately: I bought this Springall for my Elan, appeared that my steering column diameter is 16mm, so this 18mm definitively won´t fit on mine. And.... would it be a possible fit, I also find, that the 15" is a little too wide. At present there is a leather Mountney 14", so I will do with this steering wheel as was in the car when I bought her. But still love wooden steering wheels...
However, there maybe Elan members who have got more cars and maybe, maybe it fits other types a/o makes, really don´t know.
Bottom line: As there was a sure fit for the Elan, I would have posted it on LotusElan.net first and nót on eBay....
