Re the cam cover - you say good shape. How exactly? Do you have a photo? Can you guarantee it is not warped?
I am looking for one to polish, but it must be blemish free.
Thanks

Hello Olivier,

would you comment on the head material softness if tested (or at least provide a focused photo of top face showing imprints of head bolt into the alloy)? also condition of valve guides and seats (including the chamber which have seen the dropping of a valve head) ?

would you comment on "very good condition semi close ratio gearbox" ?

thank you !

The semi close ratio gearbox was fixed on my S2 Elan. I use it for several years and replace it with a close ratio. The semi close is in very good shape, no strange noise, gear lok is ok, every gear change is ok. The two parts you have to provide are the speedo gear drive (a black 23 tooth) and a speedo gear housing. SJSportcars or Suzan Miller provide these parts (I Think around £50).

About the Head, I bought it years ago. I made it pressure tested and it is ok. The test consists of immersing the cylinder head in a water bath at 80°C so that it is at normal operating temperature, then testing the water and oil ducts with fluids to check that there is no of cracks. I have not mesures the valves guide clearance. If I had to use this head I will replace valves guide and seats. I am transparent and honest and I am open to fiancial proposition.

My last +2 was 1973 +2S130/4 carnival red that i sold to Pascal in Guardeloupe.
I think it was put up for sale again a couple of months ago in Charente region.
