Lotus Elan

Parts for sale in support of Elan 60th picnic at Hethel

PostPost by: Spyder fan » Mon Jul 25, 2022 6:49 pm

I will be listing some parts for auction over the next few days on EBay, but offering them for sale here first to members.

All of the proceeds of the sales after postage and fees are deducted will be gifted to classiclotuselan.net to go towards the cost of hosting the Elan Picnic at Hethel on Sunday 25th September. The event at Hethel will be free to attend, however there will be costs to cover not least of which will be the event insurance and portaloo hire. Lotus have gifted their car parks and factory backdrop and I know that enthusiastic Lotus staff will be attending, it should be a really memorable day.

I have the following parts

2no complete refurbished window motors for Elan S3, S4 & Sprint, These have the brackets and drive pegs, Kelvedon want over £200 each for these on an exchange basis minus the bracket and drive pegs! I’m asking £150 each plus postage no exchange required, pictures on request.

Glovebox catches for S3,S4, +2 & Sprint, complete with instructions £6.00 + postage

Elan +2 front disc back plates, dirt shields, original items finished satin black nice condition £25 pair + postage

Elan +2 seat runners full set for 2 seats £30 + postage

Elan +2 front valance fog lamp bowls, new un used cost over £40 each from SJ sports cars ….. £50 pair + postage

Send me a PM if interested, I can do pictures if required. All unsold items will be listed on EBay this weekend.

Just to repeat that ALL PROCEEDS will be donated to Classic Lotus Elan Register.
Kindest regards

Spyder Fan,

I would also like an S4 glove box catch. The item in the photograph looks like the one that came off my car. The replacements I have tried do not work well, I would be delighted to have something reliable as changing the catch involves removing the dash/glove box.

Richard,
I have sent you a pm with my PayPal details. The catches are the same pattern as used by the factory back in the 60’s and 70’s

Yes absolutely no problem.

Is there something you are looking for? I have the glove box "tutch latches" sitting here which weigh less than 100 grams with the minimum of packaging and no instructions (I can email the instructions) which costs £2.55 post to USA on standard slow mail (Royal Mail international standard) so that would make the cost £8.55 to you.

However if you want something really special, I have a very rare early Lotus nose cone badge £100 including postage to anywhere in the world. This is one of a set of badges that I found at Stoneleigh at a boot sale that were fixed to some wheel centres, I'm advised that it's an early "flat" pattern enamel Lotus badge that was obviously "butchered to glue onto the wheel centres. I have cleaned it up and added back the fixing lugs that were removed by whoever converted the badges in the first place.
