Spring garage cleaning

PostPost by: jabingb » Fri May 13, 2022 3:16 pm

I just did a local open house tour and was shocked/inspired to see an absolutely empty garage! My goal is to achieve something approaching that, so to start it off I've got at least 3 blocks, 3 trannys and 2 heads, one Weber and one Stromberg. I will pull them out and take the appropriate pixs and details but will not ship them, I'm just north of San Francisco. I also have a very rare, early head, discussion of similar here viewtopic.php?f=39&t=43120 & viewtopic.php?f=51&t=31876&p=213585&hilit=+head#p213585 plus a Hewland/Wooler 5 speed that I may part with here viewtopic.php?f=19&t=38704 . May also part with my '69 FHC, more on that later.

I’d be interested in the hewland 5 speed, what condition is it in?

V, just jogged the few memory cells left, it is NOT an OD 5th, see this https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/top ... 6&t=487059 . Plus, from everything I've read is probably not suited for a higher hp Elan, more toward an Anglia, think I'll offer it on one of their forums.

I'd prefer local pickup but shipping is not out of the question, just pricey! More toward the blocks than heads or transmissions.
