Good grief! They are so ugly compared to the proper ones. D

What makes you think it’s acceptable to piss all over someone’s advert? Very poor form IMHO.

Great grasp of the English language there Taff!! I am not doing as you state, but as this is a free country this side of the river Severn saying that I don't like those wheels. Good luck to the seller, but they are not for me. Do you like them?

Dear Mr. TBG

If I may respond, knowing full well what will happen; This is not about whether you like the wheels. It is about making your opinion the issue where it need not be. If you don't like the wheels, nothing compels you to let the world know that. You have done the same kind of thing to a number of posts including mine where your strident opinion takes over the topic and distracts. Then when someone (rightly in my opinion) calls you out you get on your high horse and call foul for the rebuke.

Perhaps you might take a moment before responding with your first impulse to ask yourself, "Does this comment I am about to make support or illuminate the subject, or am I just needlessly telling the world what I think." Read some other commenters like Rohan or Mazzini who support or illuminate consistently, or just do as I do, only comment when I think I can add value as I hope I have here.

If I am out of line, I will accept the consequences.

Russ - you are sitting on a very high horse indeed!! I value your post and in a free and interesting site I welcome all opinion. Just don't get too serious - this Elan thing is fun and a bit of repartee makes it more fun in my opinion. Don't agree? Then say so - as you have. Good for you. D

indeed... and in a rather outrageous style, too.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder they say, and I do find a lot of charm in these period wheels, esp. the magnesium ones... ;)

Dave, would you comment on the backspace of each of the narrow magnesium wheels if you can (are they identical etc)?

Ross - as you well know we are all in astounded admiration of you amazing tour. But and I quote "It is about making your opinion the issue where it need not be."

This is a forum - "a meeting or medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged." and I would add, without rancour.

It should in my opinion be like going down to the pub with a few like minded mates and having a full and hearty discussion about whatever takes your fancy. No harm meant and none done.

Lovely wheels. I really do love them. The yellow is a period colour for Lotus wheels. I already have two bolt on sets and one knock on set myself or I would be all over those.
