I?m one of those mechanics that reads the chapter on what I am rebuilding the night before I start the project in the comfort of my sitting room with clean hands and a glass of wine. Then the manual goes out to the work bench the day the work is being done and referred to as needed, but only with clean hands. There are a few (very few) smudges from fingers with a little dirt on them and the Lotus manual has yellow highlites on some sentences in each chapter (from PO). But they are all in very good condition.

My rebuild posts show these manuals in the background on my bench being referred to. I just kept them clean.

Anyone that knows me will tell you I?m very organized and take very good care of anything I own.

You can?t rebuild an Elan without these. I found it invaluable to have all three books during my three Elan restorations.
