The engine is stripped and ready to be reassembled, It's on std bores and crank and my machinist has measured everything and declared it perfect to rebuilt as is. The crank has been polished and it comes will all new bearings (except cam bearings), thrusts and new rings though my machinist said they did not need to be replaced. Block has been honed.
It comes complete with twin DHLA carbs jetted for this engine by Vegantune, cam cover, front cover, Burton dry sump kit (pump, sump, pipes, remote filter housing and tank), dizzy etc. Everything except the front cover spacer and cam bearings.
The front of the head casting was damaged in an accident but repaired by Paul Exon (invoice available). Just prior to that the head had been overhauled with new Paul Ivey valves, bronze guides and unleaded seats. The head face is superb with virtually no waterway corrosion evident - testament to the low mileage covered by this engine along with block waterways which look 'casting shop fresh'.
I want 5k for the complete engine package.
Also available (by separate agreement) is a 3.7 English diff and a newly MKF built bullet ratio gearbox with bellhousing and remote Escort/Cortina extension.
Would make a superb basis for a Locort creation or Mk1 Escort TC or even to go back in a Seven.
