Correct Original Europa Jack - Trade only please

PostPost by: WilST » Thu Feb 04, 2016 9:16 pm

I have an original Europa jack with handle, wheel wrench, bag, and bracket. Looking for similar Elan S2 jack to trade for this. Sorry, not for sale outright--plan to hold onto it until I find an S2 jack. Cash of course if you have an S2 jack for sale outright.

That's the jack off eBay right? I had the seller measure the burlap sack (25" long x 12"wide), I hope to find a source & make them available.

This is the jack that you need:

Later Sprint jack behind for comparison

I sold this one to Glen last year (sorry...)

Phil,

Indeed it is. Sorry, read your eBay UK jack post first. I would be willing to make the jack bag available for inspection, but really want to make sure I get it back promptly.

So, the red jack is for Europa and the grey jack is for an S2? If that's correct, it looks like the eBay UK S2 jack is correct for my S2....?

Thanks,
Wil

No, the red jack is for S2 & maybe S3 elans & the grey jack is for a Sprint. The other posting I made is for a S4...

Hmmm, interesting--thank you.

So this jack which came with my S2 and was sworn by the PO to be a correct (though broken) S2 jack, is more likely to be an E-Type or some such jack?

No, yours is definitely an Elan Jack but I think just the large U shaped pad is missing:

Could be repaired without too much effort.

E-types just have a different flange connecting to the car.

Got it. So my jack is indeed an Elan jack, but for a later model, such as S4 or Sprint.

I guess I'll pass on that S4 one on eBay UK. Doggone it, thought I had the 'missing S2 jack' problem solved.

Regards,
Wil
