Not everyones ! Mine stay down for more than 12 months. They were still down after I stripped the car for a repaint after it engine fire. I had forgotten they were fail safe and they hit me when I pulled off the vacuum line and they came up after the car had not been run for a year.

it was well away from where the fire was and suffered no damage . Before the fire the lights would stay down as long as it did not drive the car, which over the years included periods of months when I was away travelling on holidays of work.
