Take care of it.

Someone will want it for sure, as they are no longer made in glass and it is necessary to make special arrangements to get one made from poly-carbonate or other plastics.

Ah too slow!

Bill, I think if you phone autoglass you can have whatever you want... At a price.

I have been nursing a chipped windscreen with a blue top tint for a long time, on the basis that they were completely unobtainable - When the chip turned to a crack (you've heard the advert) I phoned Autoglass..

The nice lady asked which model, I said S4 hopefully (remembering all of the discussion about different windscreens). Do you have a blue tint at the top of the windscreen (disbelief) "yes but you won't be able to get one" We have them made to order by Pilkington Sir, would you like one?

So while the Lotus specialists may not be able to supply them, Windscreen fitting companies can... but then that is their business after all. I suspect this is worth a try in the US as well. A big windscreen company is going to have much greater chance than a small Lotus dealer.

Yes very nice to know.

I particularly like the blue top tint, original to the car, and looks good with white. It went even better with the black headlining which was painted in by a previous owner. But that has met its maker due to my stupidity, and I don't have the heart to paint a new one black.

Pilkingtons makes the windscreens that were "Triplex", but they do not make back windows, even if looks like they should. Their US distribution branch is 10 miles from my home and I've looked at their listings. No coupe rear windows.
