Spyder sills - + 2 (and other bits)

PostPost by: jono » Tue Oct 02, 2012 8:12 am

I have a pair of brand new unused galvanised sills ('scaffolding pole' type) complete with plates and seat belt mounts and all bolts (except the small flange bolts) which are surplus to my needs.

?200 for the pair which I believe represents a significant saving on the new price from Spyder.

I also have a fibre glass rear bumper for a +2 - ?25

Also an early Triplex front screen (un tinted) - make me an offer.

Some other bits and bobs - diff mounts (new), lotocones, 1 used but good donut, engine mounts, early stainless exhaust etc

In all cases, collect only (Cumbria, NW England - the wet corner). I'm in no hurry so if anyone is interested we could do a deal with collection whenever convenient.

Cheers

Are the the wiper motors not the same as used on the Mini?

Mine looks the same as my Mini. Should be cheap on Ebay.

Salut Jason

Yes, they're the same as the classic mini except maybe for the drive gear/sweep angle. They're between ?40-50 new on eBay, but I'm a cheapskate.

?50 for a new one but I would have thought about ?10 used on Ebay. Mini parts are cheap so I always check them first.

Jason,

One of the great surprises of classic mini ownership afer all these years is that, yes, the bits are cheap as chips - which is nice :D

Vernon,

If you or indeed anyone else is interested I have a 5 speed box box, with bell housing and prop shaft. This was rebuilt by CTS, competition transmission services, and not been instaled since. As I have a complete rewire I have some relays too. Drop me a PM if your interested.

Paul,

And sorry to hijack the thread.

Just to confirm, if anyone is interested in the larger parts (save for the screen which is now sold) I will be going to the NEC classic Car show in November and could take them with me.

I have just checked Spyder and the sills are ?275 including VAT but excluding carriage so there is a significant saving to be had if anyone requires a set. The ones I am offering are brand new un used, complete with all fittings.

Cheers

Hi all,

Thanks to all those who have mailed me ref gearbox. To make it fair I will post up pics of all the bits I have for the conversion. I'll be honest,it won't be cheap, purely on the grounds of the cash laid out already. The prop was from Gino and is still in the wrapper he sent it to me in.This alone was over ?100. Can't remember exact amount. The box rebuild was by Bernie at CTS so is a proper job again it was expensive and then the cost of the box itself.

I would like to ask how much these should go for. A strange request in the circumstances I know. I'm also open to sensible offers.

Paul
