Cams , rods and crank

PostPost by: Greg Foster » Fri Mar 09, 2012 10:26 pm

I have engine parts which may be of good use to someone.
1 set intake and exhaust cams reground by Chambers ---good
1 set of rods; 125 e -- good.
1 6 bolt crank turned 10 but will need turning again.
Parts were removed by Jim Justice Racing Engines in Frederick MD.
Make an offer for the parts you need.
Greg

Hi,

Did you ever sell your engine parts? I just pulled an engine apart and found 3 166E rods and on 125E rod. I wouldn't mind upgrading the cams while I'm in there....

Thanks,

What are 166e rod's? A set went begging on E-bay a while back and when I asked the same question here ie what are they, I got no answer. Newby here...are they a better rod than 125e?

Thanks

I don't know what 166 rods are but maybe it was a typo and should have said 116E which would have been the skinny early rods......just a thought :?:

OK.....makes sense....maybe the e-bay listing was wrong as well or my memory has gotten the better of me again.

Hi, I need a pair of cams for an S2 SE or something vaguely similar. However, I'm not an expert! But a similar pair sold for ?60 on ebay the other day-could 50 or 60 quid work for you? Obviousmy hoping that they might or might not be OK for the car. I could always get them reprofiled...
Thanks in advance

I have a set of the 116E rods out of my S1 but they are not nice and straight like those! A couple of mine have a definite bend in them.
Will be replaced by the 125E rods!

Kurt.

FYI

166E rods are what you get when you fat finger 116E on the keyboard....

Sorry,

Rods and cams have gone, crank is still available.....along with an unbored cortina block.
