For anyone that might be interested in originality a Pye Master 70 radio exactly as shown in the parts manual

Since you say it is likely to be +ve earth suspicion is that this is Elan radio as opposed to +2 radio . Mine is an earlyish +ve earth +2 at number 734 and my radio is Pye Major .
Could it be that Pye Majors were the only +ve earth radios used in the +2 ?

I think that it was probably fitted to both, Rich. The early Plus 2 Parts manual shows your Pye Major, as per picture, and the Elan parts manual shows the Major and the Master...you can just see the Major in Steve's 2nd picture on his advert. Other parts manuals from 1968 / 1969 / 1970 show the Power Pye and the Radiomobile, and later ones show the Turnolock.
