Alloy 711M Block

I have the above block for sale.
It's never been used, and is fully machined, just requiring liners for final piston selection.
Block height is approx 20cm, and bore 8.5cm.
The reason this block was not used originally is that when machined the crossflow push-rod holes were cut, and will require sleeving as there is some breakthrough to the water jacket. An easy job to have them sleeved or plugged as required.
This makes the block ideal for a T/C, or a Crossflow.
I have standard end-caps for the block, but would suggest using steel ones.
If interested, and for images of the block and a price discussion, contact me directly.

I'll go 55.
At least on Ebay, the auction will end, and it will be sold. If you have your heart set on a minimum price, set a reserve.

Do you still have the block?
I've never heard of a 711m alloy block, please excuse myself. Is it the same as the BDG block?

Sorry, been a tad busy.
Yep, the block, and the rest of my old VeganTune engine have gone to a nice new home
However, Chris Wheeler at The 7 Workshop (www.7workshop.com for contact details) may have another for sale as we both got them at the same time, and the client he originally purchased it foe has not been in to pick it up...
I can confirm that the block is based on the Lotus 'short block', so would be ideal for a TwinCam engine.
I can still supply images if anyone wants them.

We can make some good guesses. Burton list Cosworth BDG blocks with 90mm liners, steel main caps and studs for 3500 GBP before VAT. I've just learned that Jennings BDG blocks (here in the US) with 88 to 90 mm Nikasil bores, steel main caps and studs run $6000 (4900 GBP at today's exchange rate). The one listed here has machining errors, no liners, no caps, maybe it is worth a third of what Burton wants for a Cosworth. Take off another 50 pounds for the description as a 711M block when it has the 1500 deck height, maybe 1000 pounds is about right.
