Thanks. There won't be another project. just the continuation of this one.

Just finished machining the aluminium mould for the carbon vent that will sit at the base of the windscreen. I now just have to persuade the carbon to sit in the recesses :-)

I have come to the conclusion that I don't really like body prepping for painting a lightweight, floppy, uneven surfaced front clip :-(

You have gone to the trouble to save grams of weight on the car. So now you are going to add a seal coat, surfacing primer and a coat of paint? Visit a local sign shop and have them do a wrap on the car. With the wrap, you can add any graphics into the wrap, which eliminates fussing around with putting on stickers.

Unfortunately, a wrap will still show all the imperfections so the prep is the same. Also, there isn't a wrap wide enough to go from side to side without a join.

This thing will be that fast that most people won't even see the stripe.

I was thinking straight down the middle of the car length wise so it could cover the join between two sheets.

Maybe go for the full st george's cross design if the sheets are long enough for the car too.. ;-)

Stripes are so 1980s :-)

Never been a fan of racing stripes. Americans love them which says it all, really :-)

Look Mum, I am multitasking. I must be part woman :-)

I am no sprayer (the last time I picked up a gun was around 1980) but it is laying down pretty well.
