The pics from the Spyder site posted above actually show the MT75. Might not be obvious, but the right side of the Spyder frame also has a little variation if an MT75 is being fitted. One of the diagonal braces has to be slightly wider to accommodate the starter motor. Unfortunately my chassis was shipped without this. I ‘field modified’ mine by cutting the brace and firmly bolting on an externally mounted flat brace. Not sure this could be done with the body in place.
There is also a second major variant with the Spyder chassis. For Zetec compatibility the front tube/vacuum tank needs to have a half moon shaped cutout. This obviously cannot be easily accomplished afterward. Not a big deal if sticking with your Twin Cam. If looking at available chassis, or even if ordering a new one, might want to get this variant. Be careful they don’t change something at the transmission mount though!
