Has anyone mounted a set of chronographs on their dash?

Do you have pics to share?

I've always felt mine looked a little empty without a stereo. I'm looking at a 2.375" by 5.5" dual mounting.

Back in the late 70 early 80s when we were challenging for SCCA and CASC stage rally championships. we had a Zetachrone digital split timer that I modified so I could split the time over bumpy terrain w/o hitting the wrong button and losing the hour time. After that mod to the split button and as long as the battery was charged, it was faultless.

But, I always had my back-up Tag Heuer wind up chronograph mounted to my clip board where the routes were clipped and wrist watch ( another Tag Heuer), but the Zetachron was the only thing besides the Halda Twinmaster odometer mounted to the dash of our 510.

Oh, and you can see I have a Super Safety too.

That's awesome, Roger. I feel like a complete poseur considering I have no practical function for mounting chronographs other than I like the look.

I bought these on eBay. I'm going to test mount them and see how I like them:

I've had similar thoughts; my watches would just fit the space on the cutout panel for width, but are just 1/8 inch too high and with the mounting holes wouldn't fit to mount to the existing panel. I'd probably also want to space them out a bit for easier access to the bezels. If someone has a good idea for a mounting idea I'd love to see it.

May I ask, are only the chronographs to be mounted or is there any other "thing" you need to have nearby/in front of you ?
And aren't the chronographs operated by your passenger ?

No, there is literally no purpose to this other than I like the aesthetic. Mock me as necessary.

Hah, hah, hah, what a maroon! Just kidding! (couldn't make the smiley work). Seriously though, EVERYONE will ask, so you should come up with a more rewarding story!

Consider yourself mocked.
