I too love McMaster Carr but their shipping and handling charges are brutal. Great service though. I guess you get what you pay for.

On my Plus 2 the pod bump stops are 1/4? bolts with a rubber stop that stretches over the bolt head. I have set up my electric motor linkage so the pod just hits the bump stop at each end of the travel and also have the original springs in use set so that they hold the pod in both the up and down position. This is done by having the fixed end of the spring in the right position front to back in the car such that it just goes over centre in the down position so that you could remove the link to the motor and the pod would still be held down by the spring. Set up like this the spring holds the pods down with a small force and up with a much stronger force. Just need a bit of experimentation of where to fix the lower end of the spring. I can provide photos if wanted. I haven?t slowed the motors down, they are quick but due to the linkage design the pods move slowly at each end of the travel and much faster in the mid travel.
