Just purchased these seats for my Mk1 rally Mini project.

They are lovely (faithfull reproductions as used in Mk1 works Escort and Minis).

Seriously considering a pair for my Plus 2 - the vinyl and basket weaves is the same and they will fit

Think they would look great in my MK1 escort. Please let us know the supplier.

My BDA Plus 2 came with a similar but reclining seat for the passenger. They are called Contour Microcell seats James...put that into ebay. They come in fixed form (as Jons) and reclining form (as mine in the Plus 2). When fitted to the Escorts the driver had the fixed seat, and the co-driver had the recliner, so one of them could snooze between stages on a rally.

When I bought my Mexico it came with a pair of recliners, which is quite unusual, but the owner put therm in as he did a lot of driving in Europe in the car, and they are very comfy.

A new reproduction pair of fixed seats is about ?800 plus subframes for an Escort. The recliners aren't made as repros, but when a perfect original one pops onto ebay it can go for daft money.

Mark is bob on - Contours.

.....and they are the most comfortable performance ca seat I have ever sat in.

I was looking at some genuine Microcell recliners over the weekend in a Mk1 Cooper S - rare indeed and lovely period things.
