Thats spooky, as I have spoken today to Paul at Kelvedon with the same question.

Initial reply was "custom fit only" by their roll cage fabricator therefore quite an expense but wants to liase with Pat further.

Do you need the cage to meet comp regs or just occasional track days??

I am also going to explore the possibilities of cutting and extending an off the shelf one.

I have a question for the S1-sprint owners with the safety device roll bar. Has anyone had issues using a Lenham top with the bar??

Cheers

Peter

Hi Guys,

I have been looking for a solution as well, a few months back there was a racer on eBay, it had a good looking cage I mailed the guy and he sent me this link, I have not spoken to them as I am months away from needing a roll cage,

Look at the gallery, I have still not worked out how to attach photos, I guess I will one day. http://www.p9raceshop.com/cgi-bin/ecom. ... &db_epid=7

If you guys are interested, maybe we could do a deal and get three made?

Best regard?s

Hi Guys,

Just called Forward Motor Sport, Dean is going to give me a call back.

They custom made the cage so could do whatever you want. I am going to get a rough budget and will let you know. The initial feedback was they would fit to the car and chassis and mounting plates etc would be required.

What sort of budget where you thinking of ?

I will let you know what I get from Dean, but if you find another solution let me know? I wonder if CCK might do something? http://www.cckhistoric.com/sebring-sprite-roll-cage/

Ive just got off the phone with kelvedon and their product would be of the same quality as their standard cage, so extremely robust indeed and of race quality. Protected area would be over both front seats but the rear seats would be compromised with the harness bar. powder coated.

Cost for 1 would be ?2k+vat fitted and 14 days to complete

Significant saving to be had for 3

My own experience of track days along with this years track laps at classic lemans have raised concerns over the unguided missiles that attend these events who show little or no concern for track limits/rules or their own ability.

Whist a cage won't remedy this, it should mean that I can at least walk away?

????????

Hi guys

Kelvedon have offered a ?150/cage reduction if more than one is ordered.

Mine won't be ready for the cage for 4 weeks so let me know if it's of interest.

Any other quotes been received?

Cheers

Thread resurrection!

Have any of you been successful with sourcing and fitting a roll bar. I'm not looking for a full race set up but a track day solution

I'd like to see a roll bar and side impact protection for road use, fitted discreetly.

Can't be doing with all this full-on cage malarkey, it must limit the space available in the car, and look a bit out of place on the road. I bet it affects ingress/egress and passenger space..
