Beautiful Job.

I have some photos of this car at the Donington Lotus show back in1994, it was blue then with a slightly different bonnet.

Looks great now.

Thanks but trust me its a million miles from that car. I have just bought a sniper nitrous Oxide kit for it so 100 more bhp I will put some new pics on when fitted its my version of a British muscle car baby, only not to bad on the MPG because of its weight and free road tax and ?240 fully comp insurance along with NO RUST just don?t crash it or your dead. :D

Can not wait to get out there and test it, just need to find someone to fill the bottle near Newcastle. :D

With that bottle in the cab it'll be a laugh if you spring a leak, possibly your last! :(

How is this car progressing?

Am amazed you can run it on the road with that "hand grenade" on your left shoulder!

I must say the car looks great in the shots presented - do you have a straight profile shot?

Did you make a mould of the nose? Are you interested in selling a copy? Not sure how practical to get it to Australia but would work in sections and finish here.

Do you get much lift at speed?

My engine upgrade would be a Fiesta ST 1.6 ecoboost - an easy 240bhp for A$5000 for a complete new engine with a life longer than mine :D - small and light.

Cheers Peter

Hello Australia
Yes I had a mould made but I haven't done much with it other than I put a full MSD ignition system and NOS on it. I do still use it every week. I hope to put throttle bodies on it with eight little chrome trumpets sticking though the bonnet when I find a couple of grand spare and some bigger wider wheels to really fill the arches, and re do the interior with leather and horse hair to get that old school smell, however I have to many minions sucking the joy out of my life so not sure when I will get around to it.
I would sell a copy but fear it would cost a fortune to send, or you could take a mould of an early 60s elite and stick a triumph GT6 bonnet bulge on it your end.
The car drives well and I don't really notice any lift, however once I get to about 120 the steering gets twitchy/sharper and by the time am at 140 my butt cheeks are well and truly clenched but I put this down to the steering rack.
I would agree there are many engines out there that would fit easier and cheaper with more power and the St Engine is mighty impressive but I love the sound of the V8 and if I did go down the four cylinder route I would stick with the Syder Ztec conversion but swap it for the cosy lump. :D

Just my opinion, for what it's worth , not a lot these days but I don't like the stumped front or the posey twin exhausts , but I do have to admire the V8 engineering , maybe it would be more stable at speed with the sharper front end?

Admiration.

John

Thanks Munro. Hmm on the roads we use our car on we would need someone following to collect and refit the rear mufflers every few kms :D

The side shot answers my question and I have to agree with John - IMHO 4-6" more length in the nose infront of the wheel arch would make it perfect.

It is a job well done to get the car you want!

Peter

Gotta' say I love those wheels, has it had the hubs converted to a PCD of 4x 100 or similar?

Hi it's got triumph front hubs and sierra rear hubs with custom hub carriers. I see what you guys mean but I love her just the way she is and the photos are not the best to be fare.
