Mike,

Looks very nice ! I'm glad that the new Minilites and fenders worked out so well. I still have your old wheels but haven't mounted tires yet.

Ian,

Thanks for that link. Very interesting.

Pity they are only offering spinners with wheels as I quite fancy a set to go with mine.

Spinners, that is!

Thanks for the link and also getting me motivated to get the front wheels installed. I did a bit of work to get close but I am afraid that to get these wheels (and some tyres that are in keeping with the idea), I am going to have to do some more bodywork. Thats just how it goes sometimes, at the very least I will need to relieve a lot more of the right arch down low to get the wheel and tire to clear on left hand turns, I think that the right turns will be alright. I put in about 120 lbs in the front to see if it would help. It did some and will get several hundred more but I am uncertain if it will be enough.

Many years ago I fit a set of 13" Chassis Engineering wheels together with Goodyear 4.74x8.50 to my S2.
They fit in front without modification but the rear was a different story. Still, with modification to the inner wheel wells, not to mention springs and struts, they fit nicely without modification to the outer body.

That was a lot of rubber and a long time ago...
