For anyone interested, here is how I am dealing with the door gaps. This may not be the best way of adjusting door gaps but it works for me
Cardboard for the gap.
P40 to fill gap.
A little fettling still required bu getting there.

I think an Elise would look great with that paint scheme.
There is no cure for Lotus, only treatment.

It would certainly hide all those sharp, unchapmanlike, edges

For anyone remotely interested in vehicle weight reduction, I have just compared the Elan's glass to polycarbonate. Original glass weighed 18kg, add the rubber seals and it tops out at just over 20kg. Allowing for the front and rear fixings the polycarbonate replacements weigh 5kg, so around 15kg saving.

I’m interested!!!!!
I’m not sure if it’s allowed for App K, haven’t checked. I might do if the car comes in overweight.
Now that Restopower’s Elan speedster is on hold you are the only kid on the block.
Keep up the interesting work.

The Restopower's Elan looks an interesting project, although I am not sure how they are going to fit the Sadev box without serious mods to the chassis. I hope that it gets resurrected as it looks an interesting project and it would be fun to compare notes and see an Elan done by professionals.
What do you mean by App K ?

App K encourages the use of Lexan. Just double check on the thickness that the FIA wish to see.
