Rebuild/Restore project. 44,000 miles, has not been running in 38 years. It has been in a dry garage the entire time, but of course would require a complete rebuild.
Provenance: This is the car (not just one like it) that was used for the November 1972 Motor Trend review. I purchased the demo a year old from the Southern California distributor in 1973.
Condition: Stock, except that in 1975 the Rotoflex couplings were replaced with CV Joints. In 1979, the car was struck by another car in a parking lot, and needs body work on the right front fender (see photo). I have the replacement part for the turn signal, but the body work was never done.
Nearly 2000 Saturdays have passed without my getting around to working on this car. It is someone else’s turn.
Price: Best offer. Contact me at fred.m.behlen *at* gmail.com or (708) 567-2446. Strong preference will be given to someone who credibly intends to restore it. Not just a source of parts.

By god I would love to purchase this, but I just can't do it right now. Your car is my dream colour scheme for the +2... plus I really regret selling my previous +2 a few years ago. Oh well... such is life.

What is your price for the car? Would like to have a go at the restoration.

No price set yet. Will probably sell by sealed bids. Send me an email if you'd like to be included.

Why sealed bids?

No transparency in a sealed bid. I am no longer interested.

Well, by "sealed bid" I mean I don't know how to price it and people should make an offer. Indeed, if I were going to hold an auction I would need a third party to run it, and I'm trying to do this a little more informally. Sorry if this offends.
