Following an enquiry today , I thought I better update this advert !

I still have the S3 Elan ... in fact it`s booked in next week at Noble Motorsport , to have a nice shiny new Paul Matty SS Big Bore Manifold fitted ( I didn`t like the lack of space around the existing TTR one ! ) , an oil & filter change & then to be optimised on their rolling road !o!

I do have 2 very good friends on here interested in it ... but both will have Elans to rehome ... meanwhile I`m looking forward to getting the car back !

It will be interesting to see what power it has ...

Surely you are not going to fit the manifold and optimise on the RR, and still sell the car....???

Who knows ... one of the good friends on here is very interested but will have to sell his Elan to proceed ... & of course I`m very happy to keep the car anyway !

As you can see from the topic , I haven`t really pushed to sell the car ... in fact I`ve only had one viewing (from the same friend ) ... & if I keep it , there will be some racing tackle for sale off it , starting with the TTR Manifold & Y Piece & Swirl Pot just removed !

I`ve also just received the Rolling Road Printout ... looks pretty good to me !

Hello paul I hope it’s ok to highjack your thread
Lovely car but I’ll be honest I was taken in by the mention of two friends who might need to sell their cars as above
I have recently started to seriously look for an elan fhc myself (maybe dhc but prefer hard top)
Are they advertising or would it be possible to let them know I am looking to see if we could loop up

No prob`s ... both lads will see your thread & your wanted ad` on here ... but they have top condition drophead cars ( well , one will be if he ever finishes it`s 10 year restoration ) !

However , I`ll also mention it to another good pal , who is "thinking" of rehoming his S3 FHC ... which I would describe as a nice , usable club car ... probably just what you are looking for , according to your ad` !

Norfolkboy, welcome! I wanted to dive in and say I have seen the car and it is stunning. Paul is the perfect owner and I did in fact buy a different Elan from him, which I am thoroughly enjoying. Definately worth travelling to meet Paul and view this car.

PM sent ... & thankyou James for your kind words ... I knew you were the perfect new Custodian for my Sprint FHC ( even if it did break my heart )... & I`m so pleased to see you enjoying it at the show at Ketteringham Hall & at it`s birthplace at the factory !

This has also encouraged me to downsize my little Lotus Collection ( & my home & life ! ) a bit further (even though I don`t really want to ) ... but I`ll start another thread on that !

Nothing wrong with an S3 DHC done to 26R Spec! I've had this one for 26 years - road registered, but mainly tarmac rally car.
