All,

After 16 years of build and lots of development, I have decided to sell my Lotus Elan.

Rebuilt on a brand new Lotus galvanised chassis, rebuilt from scratch, by this I mean:

Axminster panels Fuel injection alloy fuel tank
All bushes replaced with polybush
adjustable rear A Frames
TTR driveshaft, Diff output shaft hub shaft
TTR Rear dampers / platforms and fast road spring
Full re-spray only 12 months ago, including original wheels.
rollcage with sill bars

New prop shaft onto Ford Type 9 5 speed gearbox with gear lever in the correct place.
1st is not the standard type 9 ratio, but a much taller gear closer to the ratios of the bullet 4 speed 'box rebuilt by BGH geartech.
Alloy bellhousing
QED concentric clutch slave cylinder
Avo Front adjustable damper
slightly thicker Front Anti rollbar

All callipers rebuilt .

Twin cam engine with Kent Fast road cams (supplied by TTR)
QED Vernier cam pulleys
Stainless steel exhaust manifold.

Alloy radiator with twin fans
Fuel injection on Jenvey 45 throttle bodies
MBE ECU,
Modern starter motor,
Custom Alloy / Carbon Fibre airbox.
Ported head, new pistons, balanced crank & rods
baffled sump.

Gel battery, rear window and side windows are poly carbonate, but don't resonate

This is one of the sweetest running twin cam's I have ever been involved with.

Currently this car has full harness (out of date) belts.
The rear has been fully fire walled so that I could sprint it (I haven't ever competed the car)
The interior is not to standard specification but is close, including a new dash, original seats and original Chapman signed wheel, refurbished by Len Chandler.

This car is a real sleeper (as much as a gold lead sports car can be!) It looks very much like a standard Elan Sprint, handles sharper and goes quicker, but cruises better. I haven't had it on a rolling road, both Torque & HP are significantly increased.

The car is in Coventry (UK) and I will get photo's up later this week. Once I have washed it!

If you are a purist, then this car is not for you, please don't contact me to tell me I should have kept it standard!!

If you want the ultimate road going Elan that can be competed then we should talk....

Please PM initially, I will respond with phone numbers then

The car can be improved cosmetically if you are after a show car, but to drive & mechanically I'd suggest that this is one of the best that you will find.

The price is ?40,000 ovno. I am not in a hurry to sell the car, the right person will buy the car.
