I bought this car in 1995 in a disassembled state and built it up for vintage racing. I raced it from 1996 to 2006 and then autocrossed it occasionally until two years ago. At that time I thought I was going to start racing again and began a body off refurbishment of the car.The car got new paint and anything I thought needed replaced or repaired was taken care of. My situation has changed and my racing days are over so now the car is up for sale.

The car has it's original chassis and it was modified in the same manner as most racing Elans. I have never had any stress cracks or problems with the chassis. The engine was built with a 8,000 rpm steel crank, 125E rods and 10.5:1 JE pistons which are +20. Output is approximately 150HP.

The transmission has a Quaife CR straight cut gear set and there is also a Quaife LSD in the diff. The car is well sorted and competitive. It has done 2:17.1 at Watkins Glen, 2:16.0 at VIR and 1:28s at Grattan.
