Caution guys on this one as has already been intimated.

One single post listing a car for sale that is we all know is too cheap. OP has been online in the last hour but nothing further from him - it's a little bit odd. Tempting as it might be please don't part with any cash before seeing the car in person.

DVLA check shows it a SORN with last tax 6 years ago and cc as 1588

OP if I've got you wrong I'll happily apologise.

Hi guys
you are correct in saying it is on a Sorn. it has been sitting in my garage for a number of years after a number of seasons hillclimbing etc . It hasn't actually been out since I swapped the engine from the standard 1558 to the 1800 except by trailer to a track day. The original block is in the garage also ready to be used if required..

You've had at least four PMs by now,if they've not put the money in your bank and trailored it away by now there must be something wrong?

And now it's claimed to be sold, if so it can only be to someone on here. Would they like to come forward and confirm this as genuine? As I said earlier I'd be happy to apologise if I'm wrong but this either a scam or someone has got one hell of a bargain!

I'd love to say it was me and that I'd transferred the money direct to him and was just sitting back awaiting delivery but it wasn't and I didn't. By rights it should be Rene - 1st reply. I PM'd the 'seller' very shortly afterwards offering to buzz straight round. No response. Emailed him after his post this morning. No reply. As far as I know, I haven't sent him any money. If it is a scam, I'm a little confused as to how it pays. Why bother to post all the stuff about SORNing the car. I suspect someone a bit pushier than me secured it perhaps by offering to beat the asking price. in which case good luck to you. Begs the question why put it on elan.net if you are not going to respond to any posts...
Hey ho
Cheers
