Hi All,

I'm thinking about selling my beloved +2. Its an early +2 (transverse exhaust etc). Saturn Silver / Black.

When I bought the car it came with a large history file including old bills dating back into the '80's, MoTs etc. I even spoke to one of the previous owners who rebuilt the car about 10-15 years ago.

I bought the car a couple of years ago and after driving it for a year or so, I decided to get the car sorted. I became slightly obsessed with getting the car 'up to speed' and making it reliable / usable.

Since I have owned the car I have done the following -

- Full Engine rebuild. Inc re honing the block, lightly skimming / polishing the head, new rings (slight oversized +0.040" pistons), Vernier Sprockets, Cam bearings, Chain, Tensioner, Jack Sprocket, Gaskets, Breather tube, Filter etc etc
- Fully refurbed original Weber DCOE 40's - stripped, cleaned, re jetted etc. Professionally Balanced
- Aldon 103TC Distributor / HT cables
- New, Wrapped, manifold
- S/S Exhaust Y / Link
- Refurbed / Rebuilt Rear Calipers, Handbrake mechanism,
- New Pads / Discs
- Spyder drive shafts (Solid sliding spindle with 2x New (old stock) Rotoflex / U/J)
- New Radiator / Twin Elec Fans
- Anti Roll Bar Bushes
- New Alternator
- Fuel Pump - Fucet with pressure regulator
- Battery
- Tyres

Plus prob some stuff i have forgotten!

Bad Bits -

-Heater doesn't have eyeball ducts behind dash and only works on 1 speed, Although I have a whole new heater / ducting etc that I will include - i just haven't had time to fit.
- Wheels have mirror surface rust around the edges and could do with a paint - see pictures

I'm open to sensible offers, but at the same time am not desperate need to sell

Based in London

Happy to answer any questions

Love that body color, is that a clear coat paint? Hope your car finds a good home.

It was painted a few years ago by a prev owner - the colour is great, always gets loads of comments. The car was was originally Carnival Red.

I don't really know much about paint - but it does has a deep finish and good glossy shine, which suggests clear coat. Although its very robust - it doesn't scratch easily.

Long story short - yes i assume its clear coat Lotus Saturn Silver (which i believe is an Elise colour)

Lotus Paint Name - Saturn Silver
Lotus Paint Code - B26
Dupont Ref Code - F0189
Dupont Microfiche No - M1699
Primer Vaule Shade - 4
Touch Up Part No - A082B6339F

This car is stunning! I really love it in the silver, it looks sleek and long. Have you decided upon selling it? I'm in California, and am looking for an early Plus 2. Thanks.
