1969 Lotus Elan plus 2S
Reluctantly it?s time to sell my project Elan
Car is in process of being rebuilt but due to family commitments I have run out of time to complete
Many of the spares are genuine Lotus or OEM, many now obsolete
This car is an ideal project or Zetec conversion with cash back
Body
completely reworked and expensive (Thousands) paint several years ago (never left garage paint is in immaculate condition and shows no sinkage or mapping and will not now)
window surrounds re chromed and supplied with genuine Lotus weather seals
brand new door locks and strikers all genuine Lotus
New genuine hinges both sides
NOS door check mechs
new genuine puddle lights
new grille and letters
nice front and rear bumpers and number plate lights
all stainless and chrome trim and clips inc super rare grille surround all present and correct
new boot hinges
new genuine bonnet stay and complete new genuine bonnet latch mech
new badges front and rear
new driving/spot lights
front lights all new parts
new fitted side sills (spyder) inc closing plates
all glass present inc seals
Interior
trim is complete and includes
New walnut dash
New seat belts
New correct headlining kit (proper sewn kit from Susan Miller not cheap headling material)
all gauges are present
Brakes
recon callipers all round inc rears
automec brake line kit
genuine new flexible hoses
newly powder coated pedal box
new clutch cyl
brake cyl supplied with genuine kit and also comes with level mech and very nice retaining ring
even have rare genuine rebuild kit for the mk2b servo (and a re buildable servo)
Suspension
new tubular front wishbones top and bottom
new genuine trunnions
new TTR adjustable dampers and springs
new anti roll bar
new wheel bearings (even down to genuine seals that are correct and fit properly without distorting unlike repro tin tat)
new ball joints
new rear spyder oval section wishbones
new Susan Miller CV drive shafts
rear suspension is complete
new bushes all round

new!! maserati air horns kit (correct type with die cast bases to the horns not the ?sprint? type)

Basically the car was dis assembled for the paint job and it was pointless putting it back together using the tatty parts so I gathered all the parts. I have built and restored an Elan S4SE and a 7 and also have a family and have realised that I just don?t have the time to finish the project.
You get to have an Elan project that requires assembly and Love (and still some money). All important paint is done.
Car is rolling and can be trailered (with loads of boxes in your boot)
