Lotus Elan Plus 2 S130/4 1974 for Restoration or Spares

PROVISIONALLY SOLD
Gents
UWR 7 N Vin No 73061438L was sold on the 20th June 1973 to a dealer and used as a demonstrator and run on trade plates until registered on 1st August 1974.
The last owner acquired the car on the 3rd August 1979 according to the bill of sale which shows the mileage as 55880 as does its last MOT. The speedo currently displays approx 58000
The car was taken off the road in 1980 following an engine failure and remained off road ever since (still displaying a 1980 VEL)
The engine was removed and never replaced and disappeared over the passage of time.
The car is complete less engine and ancillaries.
The body has had some minor repairs to the front as can be seen in attached photo.
A cursory inspection of the frame shows it to be sound and the turrets surprisingly appear free of corrosion.
The interior is very original and in good condition see attached photo.
I would prefer to sell complete.
