Selling my Lotus Elan. VIN 45/6201. Cost no object restoration begun. I'd estimate at 85% completed restoration. Needs wiring, hydraulic and cooling plumbing, and upholstery. Completed paintwork in LO2 French Racing Blue done by one of the finest body craftspersons in the business, Carl Brown. Carl was the Gullwing Services/Russell & Company body/paint shop supervisor for 11 years, and did the coachwork on many of the highest-profile concours cars in the world, including Ralph Lauren's Bugatti 57 and Count Trossi Mercedes SSK. Chassis work done by P&D Chassis race prep shop in NY. Really better than any Lotus could ask for. Lotus 26R chassis upgrades fitted to the original chassis. Chassis complete, ready to be rolling. Drive train complete and installed in the chassis. Engine done by Dave Bean and JAE, dyno tuned and measured at over 153 hp. Salisbury limited differential slip fitted. All receipts, totaling to a fair bit of money.

I do have more pictures I am happy to send.

I'm happy to answer questions or show the car.

Thanks!

I need another project like I need another hole in my head.... especially since I just bought an Elise....

So I talked to Steve. Very nice guy. He has spent major coinage on this projcet over the years. Everything is done up right. Just needs some assembly, wiring and an interior. Really a pretty easy project and I think the asking price is reasonable.

I think I'll let someone else who needs a project go for it....

I e-mailed the seller & asked the price & still did not get one.

I do not understand the reticence in posting or giving a price...
