I bought this car three years ago with the usual intentions, but my back has told me it's enough and it's time to pass it on to someone else. In my ownership I've had the body off to check the chassis etc. and found it to worth keeping which isn't too suprising as it's been off the road and garaged for about twenty years or so. I replaced the A frames (had been used as a jacking point)and inner bushes and also the back axle bushes. I painted the chassis and overhauled the brakes with new rubbers all round and pistons where required, a new servo and brake pads all round and after replacing the chassis, bled the brakes and clutch and they're fine. The engine fired up with no trouble and indeed actually moves the car, the mileage on the clock reads 50,050 which although I can't verify may be correct considering the time it's been off the road. The car is virtually complete in respect of all the "bits" being present, but not on the car, all the trims including the air inlet grille moustache and the original radio which is untested. My next job was to be the wiring (have spare loom) and then that's when my back said "no more". The previous owner had started to strip the paintwork back to the gelcoat so she's not to pretty at the moment, maybe less rubbing down for the next owner if there's anyone interested. I've got photographs, so if anyone would like them I can e-mail them direct as I've no idea how to put them on here. That's about it, the log-books in my name so if anyone is interested let me know, as a guide I've spent over ?4000.00 so far, but I am a realist.
