Centre line height of sidewinder

PostPost by: alan.barker » Sat Jan 28, 2023 5:03 am

Could someone confirm "center line height" for sidewinder. Is it the center of the chrome screw/coach bolt holding end of Front Bumper please.
Thanks in advance

At each end of the Bumper there is a hole.
The chrome domed bolt goes through the hole and into a hole in the Body to attach the Bumper.
I understand the join in the two tone colour of Sprints is the same height as the center line of the hole.

Why has painter stopped short of the edge of the door? Won’t you see the bit left blue when the door is fitted? Hopefully not.

That is where the original Sidewinders stop. The Sidewinder end goes round the corner just a little as original. No mistake has been made. My painter said he could continue right to rubber Door Seal and i said no thanks i would like it as original.

Thanks,
When my Sprint had the stick on Sidewinders they went just round the corner to hide edges and enable to put some varnish to stop them peeling off.
With the Doors closed no lack of Gold Line could be seen. If we had painted into Door shuts to rubber weather seal it would be very different. We wanted to achieve original look but with the advantage of Painted Sidewinders. A personal choice of course. My Sprint has been finished with 2 Coats of Laquer/Varnish and there are NO STEPS between the changes of Paint. If you slide your fingers over the Paint you feel NO STEPS. My personal choice and the Bonus is the Sidewinder and Bumpers are EXACTLY the same colour, same Paint.
Maybe others prefer Stick On Sidewinders and Bumpers different shade of Gold .
