No longer have an Elan

PostPost by: batfish » Thu Nov 10, 2022 4:21 pm

I bought my 1st Elan S3 road car in 1985, sold it in1991 to by a S3 road/race car, sold that one in 2003 and bought an S1 to build into a full race car. Took too many years to build the race car but finally started racing it in 2018. Now retired from work it sadly became time to sell the race car.
Just sold the race car so for the 1st time in 37 years, I don't have an Elan.
But all is not lost to the world of Lotus as I sort of accidently ended up buying a Lotus 22 that needs quite a bit of work to make race ready. Plenty to keep me occupied.
Will continue to visit Elan.net as it's a great forum and I still love Elans and who knows may end up with one again in the future (if petrol is still available)

best wishes to all
Andy

That 22 looks like it would take an Elan body if you cut, chop and Z it a bit, Andy.

The 22 is a wonderful race car. Hope you get it on track to enjoy it!
There is no cure for Lotus, only treatment.
