Elan cross reference guide??

PostPost by: lee » Thu Feb 24, 2022 8:03 pm

Does anyone have, or know of the existence of a cross reference guide for Elan parts? I had one for the Europa (which is long departed); it was only about five sheets of photocopied typing paper, but was very very handy. It had Girling & Lucas parts numbers, etc., but also unexpected info (like the Europa steering sector was the same as a Triumph Spitfire, the speedo cable from a VW would work, etc., etc.) that I couldn't've figured out by myself. My basket case S4 is coming along nicely (motor and chassis finished) but I'm going to be short a bunch of stuff like toggle switches, front signal lights, door lock mechanisms, rubber moulding--stuff that just may be more universal than I'm aware. Any help will be appreciated.
