Recently sold by Fantasy Junction.....

https://fantasyjunction.com/sold/1964-l ... r/overview

Like most all S1 26Rs it now wears a wide S2 type body and 6.0" k/o alloys. Additionally, the pop-up headlamps have been replaced by fixed lights and perspex covers.

Photos of the car with it's original narrow S1 body, pop-up lights and 5.5" k/o alloys are posted....

Interesting.
Thanks for posting.
It would need quite a few alterations to get its FIA passport ( or not, knowing the FIAs consistency in applying its weekly changing rules).

This car actually has a wet sump. Because some West Coast USA sanctioning groups do not approve of dry sump on production cars it's common for Elans and Super Sevens engines to use the dry sump pump without the scavenge system and a remote oil tank.

The enlarged sump contains all the non-pressurized oil....

Note the scavenge pump is not used and oil is drawn from the enlarged sump by the pressure side of the oil pump for circulation throughout the engine, cooler and filter....

Thank you Lance54 for that very observant input. I think these pumps are made by Titan (it looks similar to the one on the Burton website).

If there are any other photos this would be interesting as I have not seen this before.

Yes, the pump is Titan or similar. Note that the scavenge port is plugged and the scavenge pump is not being used.

The oil in this motor is not scavenged (sucked) out of the oil pan and pumped to a remote oil tank.

The spent oil merely falls into a enlarged and heavily baffled flat oil pan that looks like this...

It uses a Dry Sump Pump but operates like a Wet Sump system.
