1968 Lotus Elan S4 heater

My 1968 Lotus Elan S4 has no heater so i plan to fit a Jegs 70602 auxiliary heater, ive purchased the control valve to connect the outgoing water for the heater, BUT where does the outgoing hot water return to ??? to complete the loop. any help would be gladly received,

A fitting on the right side near the front of the engine near the water pump.

There should be a fitting in into the coolant return line from the radiator in the front cover, this points to the rear of the car.

In theory the fitting might have been removed and a plug fitted instead or just blocked off via a piece of hose.
'73 +2 130/5 RHD, now on the road and very slowly rolling though a "restoration"

Thanks to everyone who came up with an answer to my coolant return from heater, im impressed with this site it really helps when you get answers so quickly and even photos to help
