pistachio or colorado orange owners

have potentially booked the sprint into my body shop for a repaint in October following mechanical work throughout out this summer, would vey much like to see pistachio or colorado in the flesh..
so if any owners with these colours that are within 30mins of colchester CO4 or there abouts that would be kind enough to show me their cars or are attending any shows/ race meetings at snetterton or brands hatch it would be great if i could have a look over your cars..
my car is currently french blue, having left the factory as red over white/gold.. it presents very well but does have blemishes. Therefore as its already been resprayed previously I have an opportunity to paint in a sprint colour of my choice without the concern of moving from originality

Andy, I'm considerably further than 30 mins/miles away, but there's a large number of good quality pictures of my Pistachio Sprint at http://lionheartsolutions.com/sprint0260k/LotusElanSprint_0260K.html
Make sure you scroll down & click on the pictures for full size versions.
By co-incidence my car was originally Colorado Orange. I quite like Colorado as well, but it can appear milky...

Wow that is stunning... !!!!! thank you for sharing..
interesting your orange thoughts , my preference was always
pistachio from the pictures i had seen to date.. but these are by far the best pictures i have seen !!
sometimes pictures do not do justice.. i do really like the orange is some pictures and not in others so its definatly a case of seeing in the flesh before i sign the dotted line..

Oh you really really need an S3..................................those squared off wheel arches, upside down rear lights, Marina door handles, dual colours and please not a personal plate - and definitely no golf clubs.......................
Running away now to avoid the wrath of S4 owners.........!!!!

I am biased in favour of Colorado Orange, my car was resprayed in 2011 and has always been the same colour. Like Pistachio it is a very 1970's colour. I am closer than Phil but still probably 2 hours from you.
thanks mike, that looks lovely. fantastic example . tbh id actually travel 2 hours if nothing pops up nearer.. in the next few weeks .. as you say both rare colours.. the only way to 100% be sure is to see in the flesh..
im hopeful within the next few weeks when we can attend a few classic car races i may be able to search one out in the car park or so..
do you know if colorado was available in any other lotus type?

Hi Andy,
I'm a bit biased here as I've had my Pistachio Sprint now for 48 years and still love the colour.
Please take a look at my thread here viewtopic.php?f=19&t=30547
There are loads of photos that I've posted, I did get some very interesting information from Tim Wilkes who informs me that his records state that only 63 Sprints were ever produced in Pistachio Green.
Cheers
Ian
