Does this car still exist? (I have asked here before, but now have full details of the registration number).
Elan S3 Coupe s/e 1967 Yellow over white.
Registration GEY 329E; this registration was allocated during my ownership as I sold on the previous registration 111 ERY.
DVLA tells me it was last taxed in 1986, so likely scrapped, but long shot that it was exported or now hidden away awaiting restoration?
Unfortunately, I have no record of the chassis number.
I owned this car 1982 - 1984, so some history and photos available, if there is a current owner.

It's still on the DVLA database, showing as tax due 1st July 1986, so it's very possible that it's hidden away somewhere waiting to be found / restored, let's hope so !

One final call for any info on this car, a year and a bit from the last call.

Did you used to bring this car to Club Lotus on the Wirral back in the day?

Richard,
Indeed, I was living on Anglesey 1983-4 and attended the Wirral/Cheshire area Club Lotus a couple of times. Maybe there are some old car park photos of the meets?

Hi Malcolm
I was asking because there was a Malcolm who kindly helped me check and adjust my valve clearances, who had a yellow over white Elan. This was early 1980s. But I remember driving to a house somewhere in the Mold area so perhaps it was a different Malcolm to you!

Indeed a different one! You’re welcome for a coffee if passing if you ever bring your Elan into N Wales.

I might well take you up on the offer! Would be a nice run out to Ruthin from the Wirral. Will drop you a PM.
Had a good outing to Llangollen last week, via the Horeshoe Pass, to Kendrick Motors to discuss a respray.

Clive and Robert Kenrick repainted my Caterham 7 a few years back and did a fine job indeed, although prepping and painting aluminium is a much more simple task than old fibreglass. I’m sure they’ll do a good job for you.
