Is DNB 833C still around

This was my first Elan - a nice S2 DHC.
In 1988 it caught fire due to an electrical short and the insurance company paid out writing off the car.
In those days I wasn’t smart enough to realise I could have bought the car back so the last time I saw it was on the back of the recovery vehicle  - presume scrapped or sold on.
Is there any info on where it is today ?

Also appreciate any history known on my current sprint XRA 765L

Many thanks
Chris

The DVLA vehicle check shows 1988 as the last ime it was on the road, sadly I think that as the end of it.

Thanks - that’s what I feared
I found it’s nearly new tonneau in the loft at the weekend

Chris, forgive me for jumping in, but Sandy I think Chris is saying that his tonneau is for an S2 (type 26), which is different to the type needed for an S3 (type 45), which is what I believe you have.

Forgive me for jumping in too....sorry :) ....but that registration reminds me of my 1965 S2 that I had in the 60s,
DLB696C. I also can't find any information about what happened to it. There is no record of it and , of course, I didn't keep any record of unit number or engine number.

If that tonneau is still available, I would be very interested as I have a late S2 Type 26 and like the original stuff
