Looking for past love

Hi all,
My father is a former Lotus Elan S4 owner and is trying to track down his former beloved yellow Elan.
The number plate was OVJ 146G, does anyone recognise this numberplate? or could point me in the direction of where I might find the car's current location.
Any and all help appreciated. This was a beloved vehicle and still seems to be out there somewhere.
Many thanks

Hopefully Tim will have some details on the car and should be along in the morning.

Good luck

It has been MOT'd up to 2017, so definitely out there somewhere !

OVJ 146G First registered 1 Apr 1969 at Gloucester licensing office. Current colour yellow.

Appears to do a couple of hundred miles per year. Currently showing approx 14k miles, but clearly that is unlikely to be since new. Last change of ownership in 2011. Presently taxed for the road so still running.

I have no further records for this car. It will be worth trying Club Lotus, to see if the owner is a member.

Thanks all! Really helpful. I am hoping to arrange a reunion between the car and my dad so I will keep chasing this :)

Suggestion for Form Mods plate in titleRe: Looking for past

Suggest put reg number in title.
OR
Have 'looking for' section?

I've owned 8+ Elans and would love to know history. (Mind you the history of latest 'Lotus Elon' silent S4 is controversial :D)
