Thanks for doing this Phil. Many years ago before the Internet I heard about the legendary Lotus West Tech Manual but never saw a copy. Great to see now and wish I could have seen it back in the 70's when I was trying to maintain my Elan with no knowledge and little real information

@Nick, Issue resolved, it was a naming issue.

Many thanks Phil! They also had a parts cross reference which I had part of. Perhaps we (editorial WE I mean you) could publish that as well, and maybe add to? More useful for the Brits of course, as in: "Oh! a Herald part! I'll just trot down to the wrecker and pick one up!"

I have a Lucas parts reference that I published as Appendix 1 & 2... do you have something extra?

p.s. I doubt there's many Heralds left in the Wreckers, even in England!

A friend has just this winter grabbed a set of drum braked Herald front suspension out of a breakers in north Ohio for me to use on my 20 or 20/22. I haven't seen the bits yet since I'm 900 miles away.

Oh, and Phil, I have number of Lucas parts books and data cards I'd be happy to let you scan into the archives. Some are very rare, while others are common enough I have duplicates. I've saved most of this stuff since the late '70s.

Do you have any literature from Sy Kaback's Lotus distributor from the late 50s early 60's. I'm pretty sure my 20 FJr pased thru his hands.

Hello Vic! How have you been? So glad to hear from you. I spoke with Ross Robbins a few weeks ago. He had some very kind words about you. I love that photo. I was thinner and had hair then. Not much of a driver though...

Phil, Thanks so much. You did an amazing job on this. It's a great part of history when most of the support for our cars came from each other. Lots of really clever enthusiasts did some amazing work.
