looking for white decal on steering column

This decal tells you which direction (up/down) to push the turn signal switch. This decal has one arrow pointing left and one arrow pointing right.

The SPS ones are only good for Right Hand Drive cars

LHD ones are available from Rimmer Brothers, part numbers 611011 & 621968

What's the difference you ask? Well the Stalk on the outside of the car is usually the direction indicator, so LHD & RHD decals are mirror images of each other.

When did Lotus switch the indicator stalk to the left side for LHD cars? My '68 has it on the right side like RHD cars, and it is wired correctly (up > left, down > right), but the PO installed the direction sticker for a LHD car. A bit confusing the first time I drove it.

My 1972 Sprint is on LHS

Thjey are all Lotus', don't expect considtancy, though it could be a change due to Federal regs in the 70/71/72 period...

I doubt Lotus ever changed any of this. The column comes from a Triumph Spitfire, including the indicators and decal. I suspect they just installed the parts that they were shipped.
