Might I ask who the radiator came from? It looks like a great fit. Frank

Your car looks great. What is the colour exactly? I really like the look with the painted bumpers. Any chance of a close up picture of the headlamps? Great work.

Sorry , I haven't been online for a while. Yes indeed the rad is a TTR item as is the header tank.

Thanks. So the car is actually wrapped, not painted. The body was in a pretty sorry state and as we know a good paint job isn't cheap. But I do have a buddy that wraps busses and and Moto GP bikes to name but a few things he tinkers with. The wrap is 3M, I can get the colour if you want. So a buddy and I spent a couple of days filling and sanding the pretty poor body to get it ready for wrapping and then my mate wrapped it in 3/4's of a day. I do actally have a time lapse video of him doing it. If someone can point to to some instructions on how to post a video up, I will upload it for you to see.

good to know, I've always wondered how 3M wrap would take on fiberglass, esp. the round shapes of an elan...

I'd be interested in the timelapse video (and info on the prep work : level of finish required, coating required etc.)
an easy way may be to post it on Youtube then share the link in a post here...

Not the car in question, but if you are interested in headlight treatment, here are some pictures of what was done on my recently completed car. Conversion was done keeping original bobbins to allow reversion to original popup headlight pods, if wanted:

thank you for the detail photos (I have saved a bunch of headlight conversion photos already and I think I have some of your car in the lot, but not that close up) : I'm inclined to go for a 4 screws attachment scheme rather than 3, and will probably go for a lip to hold a seal (neoprene foam of some sort), in fiberglass. The bobbins may be repurposed to hold an headlight mount, but all this it a bit far away in the future for me I'm afraid...
