This is my Dad in 1969 with his S4 Drophead. I believe this registration number is still taxed and MOT'd. Id be fascinated to know if this car is still around?

I grew up hearing stories about just how good this car was. He sold it when my Mum couldn't get in because she was pregnant with me! I'm not sure I've ever been forgiven for that.

Although I've never driven an Elan, this apple didnt fall far from the tree.

Alex if you make it to the North East I'd be happy to throw you the keys to an Elan.

Yes Cadwell. I've really had some fabulous times with the 7. It's got a genuine 250BHP JPE engine in it that a lovely chap I knew what using as something to put his laundry basket on....!

That Elan has almost mythical status to me so finding it would be quite something.

An S4 S/E dhc, a fine car particularly in yellow. Good luck in your quest.

No sadly I have no more info other than this picture and the DVLA website saying the reg no. is on a taxed and active Elan.
